Halloween has to be my very favorite of all the holidays! This is the time of year we always buy lots of pumpkins (8 this year) and clean them out, roast the seeds & carve or sculpt them! Hubby was out so we got a head start without him - we each did one - I got the advanced pumpkin carving bug a few years ago when I carved an Icabod Crane scene (that one took me nearly all day- I was sick *cough, cough*) Here are our first 3 pumpkins - 7 y/o son, 12 y/o & me - I'm thinking of doing a Tweety/Sylvester one for my next pumpkin... This is as good as pictures get - I have no shutter speed thingy More to come as we carve them Thanks for looking Here are some we did tonite: Hubby didn't want to help clean up so his pumpkin doesn't get its photo taken, son gave up early, so it was just us girls: Sponge Bob Square pants - he's a little light, needs more candles. Boo (from Monsters Inc) she looks much better than I thought another shot of it Ttttttthat's all folks for this year's pumpkin farm!

HOLY CRAP, that fish bowl is INSANE! I'm not sure how many I would have to ruin before i could get one to come out looking as good as that but in any case, really good work on all of those!

Holy cow you guys really take your pumpkin carving seriously. Those are really neat! I thought I was doing good when I got the eyes even and put some clear red marbles in the eyes to make them glow red from the candle inside. *L* You guys really have the carving skills!....Mel

Boo is a masterpiece! And the cartoon is my favorite, the idea and the production seems to me the best ones, at least among the modern cartoons.
