I just had to start this off with one of the rock bags Rocklicker made! It's so cool and I was one of the fortunate ones who's name was drawn out of a bag to win one! They prolly would have drawn names out of Snowdog's hat.. but it kind of caught fire and burned to a crisp heh What can I say.. it was just too much fun. Meeting fellow RTHers for the first time in person and it's like you've known each other forever. It's like Ed says, the best friends you've never met. There's not a better bunch of people in the world, and that includes everyone on this board. OK I could start at the beginning and rattle off everything I seen, heard and experienced over the weekend, but I had better get these pics rolling! Ah, whatta welcome sight after the long drive out Say man, what's up with the gloves and goggles? What's caught Catmandewe's interest? Ooh it's a fine display of Rocklicker's cabs and wraps! Oh man and some Stoner cabs as well! What? Pick out the one I want?? Oh.. you betcha!!! ;D Dave and one of our neighbors. They were a very nice couple down from Canada for the winter, and they sure took a big interest in all the nice rocks on display. I believe they did quite a bit of shopping over the weekend ;D Some of Dave's wonderful creations. Card, napkin and pen holders made with some gorgeous Brazilian slabs A great picture of Earnhardt on the side of Dave's trailer I had the good fortune of spending most of Saturday afternoon getting to know Snowdog as we drove around in the desert, searching for the back way in to the upper Burro Creek agate fields following this delightful lady and her hubby Mr Pup in their rented Xterra Well, I do believe we found the right road and were_almost there, but after many miles we found the back way in to be inaccessible. Bummer, but it was a fun adventure to be sure ;D Back at the camp.. our neighbor brought down her mule for a visit Not quite a burro, but close enough to be our Burro Creek mascot Ralph and Dave looking on The Master puts his masterpieces on display!! And flat raters get filled up by the score Sandsman watches one of our wrapping wizards in action And Ed shows Roxy and Catman's dad through his gallery of fine art Skipper Jeff loading raters for some lucky RTHers Daniel, Ed, Dave and Dee enjoying some morning coffee and cabs Our very gracious host and hostess for the event, Jamie and Rodney Sandsman and Rally Rocks Rocklicker enjoys a yummy fire agate treat prepared by Roxy Maryann, Sheri and Jasper! Ed opens up a beauty! Oh yeah, I think I stepped over that one heh Sensei Stoner putting on a clinic! Traffic at the camp. Nice setta wheels on that quad, eh? I tell ya.. I had so much fun I still haven't come down from it. Thank you everyone!!! I'm sooo looking forward to next year ;D ;D Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

It was a little warm during the day Edog.. crowding 90 on Saturday. Sunday was a little cooler with some high cloud cover moving in. Over night was a chilly low to mid 50ish!
Dang near perfect! ;D

Nice pics Brian. Man, I guess I should have gotten more sleep! I just got home a short while ago and I have to say, I wish I wouldn't have cut my trip short. I had a blast out there and it was great to scratch you and everyone else who was there off my list. I've got to upload my pics and give my account of the trip, so stay tuned.

Thanks for the pics Beef! I'm headed out for Show Low Arizona next Sunday for work, and am hoping to go out and hunt the Holbrook Area. We'll be down until Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and heading back after the weekend. We're working on a Lowes, and maybe we can hook up sometime...or any other Arizona Folk! Looks like you guys had a blast,. and I wanna see a close-up of Ed's big happy find. Steve

Thanks for all of the great pics. I think seeing each other in person would be the greatest part.
Poor Snowdog, how did his hat get all burnt up? Maybe we should have an RTH contest to choose a new hat for him!

Thanks all for the comments!
Curt I wish you could have been there too. I could have drove away from there without a single rock and still been tickled pink just from the experience.

I'm not jealous or envious. I'm glad you all had a great time. I would have loved to have been there but...you know, there's that whole Pacific Ocean thing to deal with.
Camping, good food, rock hunting, friends, beautiful scenery, watching Rocklicker and Stoner "do their thing", driving round in 4WD's...you guys did it all!
Well, maybe just a little bit envious...nah..just glad for all of you
Thanks for sharing the photos, experiences, memories and finds with us.
