This is a batch of Jamie's chrysocolla. The color is a little darker than reality but it shows the wet shine it took. Glorious stuff! The note from Jamie said they were pretumbled but I still dumped them in coarse for two weeks...then borax for a full week. Then 220 for a month...then straight into polish for two weeks. I love the organic shapes of a rough tumble. I sometimes forget in the thrill of cutting that there is little that can improve on the feel of a handful of smooth tumbled stones. There was no undercutting. I have it on the authority of the guy who owns a local rock shop and did some big cutting for me that Jamies stuff is really good quality. He sliced some big pieces for me and at first held out little hope but he said once he cut into it he realized how nice it was. I've said it before and I'll say it again...Jamie rocks! Oh...and no undercutting. And I don't know how I got a shine on soft stuff...I've never had a batch not turn out shiney. I guess I'll have to start posting more batch photos to prove my point.

Beautiful colors! How did you get them to shine? Was there any "undercutting"?

Herm, I may be wrong (wouldn't be the first time.. won't be the last), but I believe that's the first batch of tumbles you've posted since I joined the board. And whatta beautiful batch it is! Nice job!!

I have a couple of pieces from Beef waiting to go into 220. I hope they scrub up as good as your have. The colours are intense!
