I got a couple cuts off of the big jasper piece we found on the last day at Burro Creek. The piece on the right is the heel cut, and the piece on the left is the first slab, for a size reference, my hand doesn't quite cover the slab when I hold it on it. A close up of the slab A closeup of the heel It will take some time to get the whole thing cut because I am going to have to make a new fasten down system, as the old system just isn't big enough. Have a great holiday season..............Tony

Wow!! I love the dotted paths around the carmel-y colors with sudden colors of purple and magenta!! I can't wait until you cut more into that monster!!

Those colors are unreal! I like the yellow with purple so much. I like that big white glob in the slab too. Very nice stuff. Was that a diffent spot you went too on the third day? Steve

Hey Steve, On the last day we took a side road by where all the nodules were, and Gabbi found a nice piece of Jasper right by where we parked the pickup, we looked around there and then went up the next side road, and we found a place that someone had been digging cuts out with a cat. We found a really big piece of jasper in one of the cuts, several smaller pieces and some nice big chunks of agate. Rodney got some, too. He said he had cut it, but I haven't seen any pics yet. (hint hint)

Beautiful patterns and colors. Also very clean cut, very small and regular crescent ditches on the surface. That makes the grinding a real pleasure.

Wow nice stuff! Burro Creek must have a lot in common with our Calif. chapinite sites like Siam Siding, Hector Hills etc as the material looks very similar in nature....Mel

That is really nice Tony. I remember seeing it in one of the pics of your trailer. How many pounds was that chunk?
