Out of polish today. This time only 7 days in A.O. polish. Quartz, Some of Randy's petshop rocks, Something I don't know, A couple Brazilians. The one on the left I tried to make a knife blade. It turned out kinda sharp. After each stage I threw it back in the grinder to keep the edge, and it worked. Going to tie it to a straight branch with some senew and maybe some feathers like an old indian spear. More of those 15 year old tumbled slabs, More Brazilians, gotta love them brazilians

Edog: Got to agree with you on the Brazilian Agate. Stuff is pretty, tough and easy to polish. I especially like how it will hold itself intact even when taking a beating in coarse grind. Great stuff for the tumbler!....Mel

I noticed that one, too Adrian! Love that little piece!
Neat idea with the knife blade, Earthdog. Show us a picture when it's done?

I love the Brazilians too. Yours look great. I think they are ideal for cutting on the workforce; doing some shaping and tumbling the rest of the way.

Excellent batch and shine. That quartz really turned out well too - I think it is often overlooked because it is so common, but you've proved that it is an excellent material for the tumbler. -Don
