Hey Guys I found this when I was a kid and have carried it around with me for 40 years. I've always wondered if it is a real fossilized egg or just a fluke. What do you guys think? It's about 2x 1 1/2 inches. Curt

It is definitely a fossilized egg. Hummingbird if I'm not mistaken. Bob

If it's held your intrigue for 40 years, why risk possibly ruining the magic? Leave it whole and keep wondering. -Don

OK folks, I have some specimens that will never be cut as long as I own them and this is one of them. ;D
Your right Don, this sucker will not be cut. I was in hopes someone had seen something like it and knew for sure. Over the years I've had people say that it is definitely an egg and others say no way so I guess it's just going to have to be one of those unsolvable mysteries.
