Geeees thanks a lot!!! Lets see.So far I have a "sorry I have no idea" "Agate" and "A pretty rock". Maybe I should put it in the competition section as "Name this rock" and win a big Thank You!!! LOL The only problem with that is I wouldn't know who won!!!!!! LOL ;D connrock

Connrock: Yeah, the difficulty is the fact red, mossy, plumey types of agate come from all over the west and many varieties can exhibit those sort of patterns. My best guess would be that specimen came out of the moss agate locations around Durango, Mexico as that area has lots of similar looking stuff. However, may areas in Arizona, Texas, Utah, and California's Mojave Desert also have similar material....Mel

Connrock: I get most of my Durango stuff either form the prospectors when they show up at the Snyder Ranch Pow Wow here in California or from Gary's Rocks who does a lot of local shows. Don't think Gary does internet stuff. Only guy I know who sells via internet and has a lot of Durango red mosses etc is Ronsrocks so you might occasionally check his listings....Mel
