I have been contemplating cutting this one for awhile. I had a suspicion this was one of the type with a different shade of green or blue inside. It is not the baby blue I had hoped for--more of greenish blue, but interesting none the less. Maybe one day someone will solve the problem whether this is a chemical change while in the ocean or during formation in the subduction zones. I recently went to the Pacific Grove Natural History Museum and found a real good illustration of how Jade is formed in the Big Sur/Monterey area. I snapped a photo of it from the side so as to not get a reflection from the glass. Luckly it came out. I will add it to the photos below.

Some great looking stuff! I really like the blues in with the green.

Oh hey! That's something I've never seen before!! wow.. and I love the idea of you putting up a pic too of how it's formed.. I've always had questions like that about all rocks. But that's pretty awesome! Well maybe it'll get lighter or the shade you're looking for as you cut ... *smiles*

Really neat. Hold on to a few slabs. When I get the Marramamba cut I would love to trade.
