But still...this is my first in what I know will be a life-long love of making pretty rocks. I hope to get a cabbing machine together after the holidays, but for now tumbling is what I've got. I was very pleased with the decent shine I got on the sodalite and emeralds, especially. I know I had some tough materials in this batch, but I wanted to make it work anyway. The sodalite, emeralds, rubies, aventurine, and unakite all came from our trip to North Carolina. The rest (agates, carnelian, jaspers, etc) were purchased. The batch spent several weeks in 60/90 until shaped as I wanted. Then it was 1 week in 220, 2 weeks in 500 and 7 days in Tripoli polish. Anyway, hope you enjoy the photos. I plan to have many more to share in the future.

Thanks for all the encouragement. Of course, I learned from the best...all of you! Now I've just got to work on my photography skills. The rocks look so much better in person than in those photos. :/

Absolutely fantastic. The colours, angles, the whole shoot is absolutely fantastic to me.
Thanks for posting those pics - they totally sum up what rock tumbling is all about in so many ways.

It's all lapidary arts Those look great; looks to have a nice shine. You got a real mix of materials in that batch; love the all the colors. I have the same problem with my photos. I am hoping santa will bring me a new camera.

Great job! Isn't it fun to finally get something cool, after all that waiting? You did a great job! And you can always put some back in with your next batch, if you aren't happy with them. (I do that a LOT, haha!)
