Oh boy, oh boy!! There I was, kind of down and looking at the list of things I had to get done, and dreading it...and I step out the door, and there on my doorstep are not one, but TWO boxes!! FRB's, bursting at the seams!! One was from Idaho - have to say, Tony, you have the BEST packing material ever!! It was Joe's rock slabbed, and half filled with boards and boards of rocks for me to play with! AND not just that, there was two HUGE slabs, one from 'the Monster' from Burro Creek! ...and closer List? What list? Here's a cab from one of the 'Challis' slabs! And then the second box!! It was from Jamie! I had begged Jamie to send me a box of stuff from Koning's pile and the seam agate. Oh my gosh. That stuff is soooo amazing!! I got out my workforce and started slabbing a bunch of those little beauties. ...and played with some new shapes for jewelry still in my sketchbook! AND THEN, nestled in there was a very special slab! A slab of THE most amazing, deep, intense colors! Shattukite from Rodney!! Unreal, isn't it? OF COURSE there's no way I'm cutting into this, or Tony's monster slab! So here's a photo of my display cabinent! (The little polished geode rocking rock in front of the slabs is from Beefjello's Burro Creek gift bag!) THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! You'all are the BEST!! ~Dee

Thanks Roxy!! You and me both have the 'rock sawing' bug pretty bad, don't we?? Joe's back in Alaska: we'll be shipping it out to him sometime soon! He did love those rocks! I wonder what rockhounding there is in Alaska??
Nothing beats digging through boxes of rocks and dreaming of jewelry on these cold, winter days for me!
Hey, you need to share a pic of your saw AND your slabs with us!!! I'm waiting!!!

Thanks Roxy, I didn't think of that! I'll take one of the smaller slabs, and send a couple of cabs and maybe a wrap before I send the box. That moss is beautiful Tony, I noticed those right away! I'd like to stabilize it first, though. I need more hours in a day so I can play with my rock! lol! Here's another cab from one of the Challis slabs! ~Dee

Cool, glad you liked the agates I picked out and Rodney's slab.
Have fun and you are very welcome, there is only about 22 ton left over at Koning's so anytime you want more, just give a holler.
