Hi , and thanks RosebudMN! I guess this is where I introduce myself... I'm married, have no children, but we have 3 cute dogs. I'm a systems engineer, programmer and IT manager at a cement plant. I get to go down in the quarry and search deep underground (Around 200 ft) for rocks whenever they're not blasting. I've found some rather interesting fool's gold formations down there. ;D There's also around 6000 acres on the site that I like to go and search through when I have time after work. So far, not much to speak of, but I did find an old spearhead once. Lots of folks think we're a little off our rockers for searching for and collecting rocks, but it's enjoyable.

Hello Gromit,
I used to be a Night Maintenance Supervisor at a large rock quarry outside of Idaho Springs, Colorado.
We produced road base for the State of Colorado as well as provided rip rap for shore (river) erosion control.
It's nice having all of that rock to search through isn't it!
Welcome to the board!!!
