I was recently surfing the web for info about granite for my tumbling questions and came across this cool site. It has some very detailed info about all kinds of sedimentary rock - everything anyone would want to know. That was interesting, thank you, would anyone know of any web sites that show what type of minerals and or rocks in areas of North America including Western Canada , sorry if this has already been asked.

Try this link that I had posted in the location section. I'm not sure if it has any parts of Canada, but it will give you a rundown of each state and its geological makeup and with a little searching, you can find what you are looking for.
