Can't wait to see those polished. Should come out with some interesting patterns. And enough different ones to make it look like they are totally different types of stones!

Alice, did you have good luck tumbling these? I collected several pounds of what appears to be green apatite in South Dakota, recently. I am not positive as to its identity, and also wondered if it could be tsavorite (aka tavorite) which is also known to have been found in the area where I found this. Some of it is quite gemmy! Many pieces have white striations. I am excited but apprehensive about tumbling it, since it is rather soft (5-6 on the Mohs scale). Hope to hear from you!
