Did a search of this board, couldn't find any dino bone pix, so here's some: This is silicified dinosaur bone from Utah. I believe Utah is the only place where dino bone became suitably replaced with silica for lapidary use...it's certainly the main source at any rate. -Don Close-up of the same piece: A red-celled variety (generally more expensive): And a cheaper piece, with poorer cell definition:

Don, Thanks for posting those pics. You do a fantastic job at getting those shots real close, and what DEFINITION!!! Those are sweet...Thanks again Man! and just look at all the pictures you can see in that second picture. I see all kinds of faces, cupids horse heads...Holy Crap!
