I found this rock while I was down picking up the saw. The area is a dry river bed just west of Agua Dulce, CA I couldn't find anymore like it. Is it some type of granite with quartz crystals? Hard to tell in the picture but the color of the rock is greenish and the crystals have a slight purple color. I'm gonna slice it up and see what the insides look like.

Looks kind of like the stuff I find around here - just denser quartz formations. If it is, the dark part undercuts and doesn't take polish when tumbled but shines nicely when on a grinder/polisher. Gotta watch though, the quartz sometimes breaks off and scratches the whole flipping thing up!
