The first stuff, especially the big one you have pictured looks like jasper to me, the second looks like some sort of rhyolite material. Is that caliche (SP?) on the outside of the big rock in the first group?

Hey Steph, That frist group looks to be bigger masses of that Fossil agate you found a while back. Similar white spotted look to the matrix. And the red tone is very similar as well. If its realy hard like that agate you sent me, and found in the general same area. That would be my best guess. Outside of just an agate or jasper. Those ledge pieces could be similar as well. I know the large fossil bed here in AZ, beneath the Mogollono Rim holds similar fossil "ledge" agate. Were the boddies were some compressed and pack. If you found it also on Muddy Mt, i bet it has fossil origins too. I bet it will make some pretty nice looking scenic cuts?

The second one reminds me of something sold to me as ribbon agate. I don't think it's an agate (duh), but I never had a chance to get a slab of it. The seller was from the South Dakota, Wyoming border, if that helps.
