Dweezil the rocklicking cat likes to help me with wraps. He likes to help out in his own way and seems to show up whenever there is wrapping going on. He was especially helpful last Sunday: Here's the wrap he helped me make! Not sure what the stone is but he sure liked it (or was it just the shiney wire) Steve

Wow, give an A+ to your cat for such a beautiful wrap! In the 2nd pic he really looks concerned about the design: "Humm ... that wire ... a little more to the right ... perfect!" The same mark to you too! And a scratch between the ears (only for the cat, of course).

I'd like to say the wrap is awesome, the helper is so cute and I'd like to know how you wrap with one hand and take a picture with the other? You wrap one-handed???

You know, some people say animals are dumb. We who love animals know who is really dumb! Have to tell you, Steve, that is one cat to be proud of, because that wrapped cab is sure something to be proud of! You and Dweezil did a fantastic job! I love how Dweezil's toes are ready to help curve the wires in that second photo. He's so focused.
Thanks for sharing.

Excellent wrap Steve. Just make sure when your helper is helping you you're not wrapping a "Cat's eye" stone!

Hey Steve.........how did your cat get his name? Just wondering because my tuxedo cat's name is "Zappa". As in Frank Zappa because of his tweaked out eyes and mustache. I thought maybe your cat was his long lost son or something lol.

Ha ha Tweet, I was wondering if someone would catch that! Dweezil the cat was playing with the wire for quite some time and I happen to have the camera nearby. I'm no one-handed wrapper but he had his paws in there to help.
Ed, if you are refering to the wire poking him in the eye, I think of that too and try to be conscious of it but half the time I don't realize he's around. My sis (ankles you see in the background) works at an animal eye doctor. She keeps a watchful eye when she is around and tells me to be careful.
Shannon, that's hilarious! Another cat named after a Zappa! We got him from one of my wife's friends who named him after Dweezil Zappa. She was obsessed with him apparently. That's how he got his name.
Thanks for the wrap compliments. It's nice to be wrapping again. Steve

Cool wrapping buddy! I just hope he washed his paws before he helped! ;D I have (well, he lives with my daughter now) an orange male tabby named Tigger that used to like sitting on Earthdog's feet when he was working on his rocks. His job was to keep the mice out of the rocks!
Oh, yeah.........duh! I like the wrap, too. You all do such a great job at wrapping!

Cute helper you got there. I used to have one that looked almost identical. He was a "Mama's boy". I sure miss him. Anyway. I really like that wrap too. What kind of stone is that? By the way how long does it take you to do a wrap like that?

Dan, Mitzi, as far as the stone, I have no idea what it is. The slab was full of moss and was mostly purple and yellow with some brown. Very solid stuff and it took a great polish. Mitzi, it takes me about an hour to an hour and a half (depending on if I'm in the zone or not) to do a wrap (not counting cabbing the rock). The longest part is getting the wire to fit the contour of the stone. Steve

That's a really beautiful wrap and a really sweet kitty. I love how his claws mimick the 'claws' of the wire in the one picture. Nice.
