Well,...... It doesn't look Gothic to me although I'm not into that. The ring itself is interesting, but, she said there aren't any markings on it, how does she know it's sterling silver wire, unless I missed something. I myself, don't perticularly care for it. Looks kinda like a little kid wrapped it? Sorry. Would be nice if a little kid did it for their Mom, then it would be cool if I was the Mom, know what I mean?? Tonja

I would pay for the pearl not the wrap. It is not a very good wrap. I don't even think polishing the silver would make that ring look nice. It also said that they didn't know whether it was a cultured pearl or not, that is the only way you can get a pearl shaped that way. Tami

I'm glad that my fellow members agree...this just ain't good. I am amazed by the quality of things people will put on e-bay. Then...just when I think it couldn't possibly get worse...they surprise me by asking for high selling prices AND...she even puts a handling fee on top of everything. This pearl cross can be bought at Firemountain for 2.17 without shipping.

And not to mention how she goes on and on about packaging and shipping, etc. And that she has arthritis so she has to type in capitals, etc. Remember, you are all the elite of lapidary, wire wrapping, etc., so someone else's attempt may look somewhat amateurish. I actually could see someone at a "Ren" Faire wearing it or the gothic punk culture wearing it. I would think that the shape of the pearl would be on the rare side and why would someone ruin it by wrapping it like that? My opinion......................

I don't think this person is an amater at wrapping because the ends of the wires are hidden nicely and the "ring" part is evenly spaced and perfect per say. I think they just thought this looked good. My opinion of course. Tonja

Think it would've been nicer as a pendant. Pretty neat pearl but I feel the wrap detracts from rather than accents the pearl.....Mel

I think I will vote with Mel, The project may have come off a little better as a pendant. The wire covers up and takes your eye away from the lines of the pearl itself ! This pearl would be dificult to wrap because of the curvature AND the unusual angles of the crosses arms. A simple pegged, sterling type cap arrangment may have pulled it off .

It looks like it was not deliberate and maybe the artist was going for a pendant but ended up with a ring. It has that look. Yeah it's a little strange but I gotta admit I like it. Call me weird. It's not something I would give to Mrs. Rocklicker, but it's kinda cool to look at. Steve

I'm going to say...that ring is not totally wrapped. It is soldered and wire is wrapped around the cross. It is different! lol... I don't hate it though. Poor gal does ramble...not a good thing for a seller (unless it is interesting or humorous).
