I have some flint with nice pictures, but the pictures are horizontal. All the pendants I've seen are wrapped vertically and I'm wondering what a horizontal wrap would look like.

I was just looking at some rocks last night and contemplating a horizontal wraps...I'll do a couple this weekend and see what you guys think. Though, fair warning, I don't expect to be compared to jonje!!!

I say go for it Curt. I always try to 'think outside the box' when doing a wrap. Then again I usually look through this section to find inspiration before starting a new wrap. I like to look at some of the old posts by RockyRaccoon, WyckedWyre, Rocklicker, Akansan, Jonje and others. Luckily most of the pics are still up... they always give me ideas.

I've wrapped horizontally before. In fact, some of my friends argue with me when I orient a piece because I tend to go horizontal instead. Let me dig... And then this one - not my favorite, and still in my redo pile, but it'll go horizontal again:

Hey, when I saw your thread's title, I thought you want to wrap while lying in the bed Adrian

You can wrap horizontally like you would a regular vertical wrap...but when the stone is a little longer, I will usually put it in a necklace, like this one: www.keystonejewelry.com/necklace/N1235.htmThis calls for two sets of wires gathered at both ends instead of one. Yep, it is a little more challenging.

Now THAT'S a horizontal wrap, Nancy! You don't post here very often, but when you do you really show us first class jewelery!

Thanks Adrian! Yeah, I got quiet for awhile...it has taken me 2 months to get over a bad chest cold and I just didn't feel like doing a dang thang. Anywho, I'm starting to feel like my old self and will post more often.
