That is so cool! Do many pieces for jewelry start with a rough cut (WF) piece that is then tumbled? Interesting.... I may be able to do more than I thought with just a little equipment. Amy

Amy - that's how I got started. There are plenty out there that still just do it that way! Take a look at Randy's (BikerRandy) pendant tutorial that's somewhere in the back pages of the Photo page. Easily done, nice shapes, and you can still pick your images.

Wowzies Dan... \That is really cool! Love the lightning strike with the red...very Nice. The wrap is perfect as well. I just had to scroll up and look again...yep...that's a WINNER! Amy, I was just going to say check out bikerrandy's pendants. He does some fantastic shapes and hundreds of them...then vibes them. And if the stencils are still abvailable from TonyW....they are well worth it. Lots of great shapes that he has offered for free to anyone interested. Steve

Dan, I just realized I forgot to comment on the wrap! It's perfect. I can't make the nice symmetrical wraps like that - I always have to swoop and swirl in the end to finish it off.

Great job!! Amy- all you need is a Workforce saw from Home depot (around $88) and a tumbler, that's it!

Nice job. Again. I really like these straight, Craftsman-type wraps. Clean lines, but solid structure. Looks like lightning in a box.

Awesome stone!
You are really getting good at this Dan. I love your clean lines. Not sure I'm going to ever master that.

Thanks folks. This one was sort of difficult because I used half-hard wire.
Amy - Tumble polished shapes are great for wrapping or mounting a bail. They aren't used for bezelling though. It takes a little practice to cut nice clean shapes but it's lots of fun to do.

Wow! That's awesome! It looks like it should come with a power pack or something - that bolt is so striking and bright - love it!

Wow, that is one SWEEEEET wrap Dan! Something about that style I just love! I am soooo jealous of all you wrappers. I REALLY need to learn how to wire wrap stones properly. If I tried to do that it would probably end up looking like this:

Dan, you are turning into one heck of a wrapper. Great looking stone and wrap. Guess I need to sit down at the table and do some wraps.

What a magnificent cab Dan! WTG I reckon it's "Thunderbolt Jasper" I'm sure it was one of the clues in Mels Dragon Contest The wrapwork is truly delightful, the gentle lines are contrasted by that whacking electric blast ripping through the centre of the stone - Sure is eyecatching! Is that a haematite patterning in there too? It's gorgeous, great work Sir! Thanks for sharing the picture - I'm slowly becoming more and more a cab fan! Going to have to sell the family silver soon!!! Gotta get me some wheels Cheers, Harry.

Thanks again guys.
The wire is SS 20g half-hard square for the main wires and 22g half-round half-hard for the binding wires. I've decided I don't like to use half-hard wire.. lol. Just can't get it to do what I want and it's definitely not as forgiving as dead soft.
Harry I think you may be right about the Hematite, I'm not sure though.

Hey Dan, you want to sell that? Seriously though. I don't know what it is but the more I look at it, the more I want it. That doesn't usually happen to me but i've learned to go with my gut when it does. So, what's it gonna take Dan? Cash? Rocks? What else is there? Rob

Perfect name for a gorgeous cab! I love it. And I appreciate that you show the wrapping from the side, too. Helps us would-be wrappers imagine how it will be someday. I think you have a genuine customer for this one, Dan. He seems pretty earnest in his pleading up there! Lady B
