Hi everyone. My hubby felt like cuttin some rock today, so... I dug through my FRB's and got some out. Most of this stuff was from Freeform (Shain) from a long while ago. He said I would be happy with this box and oh man was he right! It takes us so long to cut stuff up, I swear, LOL. Shain if you see this thread, Thank you again!! Now, if anyone knows the correct names for any of these slabs, please oh please let me know! HeHe. I just calls'em as I sees'em, LOL. Ok , nuff already. Here's the pics....
The whole bunch.
Another shot.
The colors are kinda washed out in these pics, Florida Sunshine was to bright today. Most of the other pics following were taken in the shade with flash. Only way to get true colors. LOL
Somethin Awesome! Brightest red I've ever seen.
I call this bacon. LOL This was real easy to cut. I don't know what it's really called though.
This one is also Awesome. It has such cool designs. The line across the slab looks like a crack, but whala. It's not. It's like Smokey quartz in there. All those dark spots are the same stuff. I can't wait to cab this.
These are two different rocks of yellow moss type. Close ups of these later.
This one reminds me of porcelain. The blues and pinks and greys with tiny lines running through it. Sweet!
Now this I know what it is This is Georgian Crazylace. I brought back 2 big chunks in 2006 when we went on vacation. It's been sitting around waiting it's turn. Sweet lace, but I was upset with the fractures in it. I think I can still get something from them though. Hubby was having hard time getting straight cuts from this rock. Hard Stuff!
Ok This was a rock from the FRB I got from RTH's last adventure, Burrow Creek I think? Didn't look like much on the outside, but wow, look inside!
This blew our minds! So brilliant pink! I know it starts with an R.....
Any Help Please. This is gonna make some fabulous cabs!
I don't know what this is either. Hubby says it looked volcanic. It was pretty hard to cut. It sure was a surprise inside! Should take an awesome shine.
Ok Here are the close ups.
Some kind of yellow moss agate.
Another moss agate of some sort.
The Georgian Crazylace.
And here is my hero. I am afraid of the 10" tile saw. To big and I can't reach the platform very well to hold the rocks secure. I like the workforce saw myself, so hubby helps me when it comes to the bigger slabs. Anyway, here he is.. My Hero.
Well, Thank you for sharing my fun today. I hope you liked the photos. Sorry dial up users, my pics are alittle large. Any help with names and I'll love ya forever! LOL I'll love ya anyway, but you know.... LOL.
Thanks again, T
