ok, so it's not rocks , but for all you crafty(nutty) people , here was my post-christmas experiment, hazelnut earrings: better lighting, but a little blurred: i'm going to make a few pair for some of my hippie/vegetarian friends just for grins ;D. thanks for looking, KD

conkers are chestnuts, right? the trick to these is to crack them open very carefully, extract the nut and epoxy them back together so that the seam is minimal. makes them light enough to wear. i put a coat of clear nail polish on them too.

OMG! i hadn't considered being ravaged by a band of ravenous squirrels! better add a warning label! so much for sunflower seed earrings.........i can't see being divebombed by a flock of starving chickadees either! those little birdies have attitude!

Well every girl deserves her own set of .. diamonds?.. Ahh Nuts! LOL....... Well I think they would come in handy too, if you're ever out (hunting rocks) and get lost.. they might just be the one thing to save you from starving to death.. lol they are cute tho.. Very crafty KRAZYD

When I was a kid, my father would crack open walnuts along the seams. My sister and I had to take the walnut out and along with a piece of brown string, glue them back together. They became ornaments for our Christmas tree. Cool Idea KD!!

kd...those are neat....but ya done gone and messed my day up...when i seen the pic....i thought of my mother in law ...she wore little pumpkin earrings at thanksgiving....i thought i had them out of my mind...till i seen the pic ;D...kev.
