When we were at the mesa show last weekend, we noticed a man trying to unload a saw from his truck. Well, we seen it on its side on the ground, and being right across from us, sheri and i walked over to see if we could help him. As we lifted the saw back up, i proceeded to ask him "are you selling the saw???" He answered with a yes, so the obvious next question was " how much?" much to my amazement he said, $25 and I quickly answered SOLD!!! Today was the first day i had a chance to cut with it. When i bought it, it needed a belt, and the top window was gone, which both are an easy fix. Got it all done today, and its seems to be working pretty good. It gets a little sluggish, but maybe i just need to replace the motor. Oh, its an 18" saw, but i do feel i got somewhat ripped off, there was only a 16" blade in it . Not a problem as mary ann and i went to quartzsite and low and behold, there was an 18" blade for $60....... its not often we find such a good deal. We were both extactic. Now we have twins. The greener one, was the first born ;D the second twin arrived almost a year later ....... the first one the new arrival

What a steal for you, so glad it all works!!
Ya know, I've posted this before; there's a guy here in town w/a 24"; I think I'm gonna have to buy it. He wants the price of a 24" blade; research shows that is around $500+. Has a good blade on it. I just don't have the space! Homemade, basically; the cover is actually an old WWII airplane canopy. I REALLY need to get this done before the gentleman passes away, or can no longer speak for himself.
AARgh! I think the boys will be cleaning the garage next weekend. And I will be digging into the savings.

Yup - I think that deal takes the cake on the board right now. Karen, I'm still tempted by that 24"...but I'd have to get bigger rocks.
