Hi All Came across this site when someone on one of the rock sites that i'm a member of posted a link to it I never knew that there was a site devoted to rock tumbling and such Yes my wife and I live way up here in on the north shore of lake Superior which is renoun for it's great fishing and even better it's great rockhounding sites We own and operate Boulder Creek Amethyst mines and supply local rock and gift shops with a variety of rock related items. We also operate a fee dig your own site and have had many people from the U S and Can come to dig their own specimens and tumbling material We have quite a variety of tumbling material that is from this area jasper, stromatolites ,agates and quartz I"ve done some tumbling myself but I seem to be too picky, so it takes me forever to put a 12lb load together but the finished product is usually quite overwhelming I also have quite a variety of small druses suitable for wire wrapping and they are quite beautifull when wrapped I usually get someone else to do the wrapping for me though Anyone interested in some pics of the material we have on hand get back to me and I"ll send some I think it"s a good day to stay inside it"s only -38 this morning BRRRRR Only 100 more days till its back to the mine and doing what we enjoy Till then keep them barrels turning Chuck and Linda The Rockrangers ;D

Hi Rockrangers (Chuck and Linda), If your 12-lb tumbler loads are too much trouble, I'll trade you my 3-lb tumbler for yours! Just kidding - welcome to RTH!

Wow! now that sounds like a lot of fun .. your own your own mine? cool.. sounds like that would be something everyone would like to have one day lol.. and I can't wait to see what pics you post . my suggestion go to the members photographs.. there's a thread on there on how to post pics on here.. I swear that was the easiest thing for me to follow.. and I'm not one who knows much about pc's either.. anyways Glad you two joined!

Welcome from a fellow Canadian! *waves* i had a friend dig me some ammy from thunder bay a few years ago (it's gorgeous stuff) - I'm from the Ottawa region (nothing interesting here... ) Welcome aboard - pictures are always welcome! Ammy pictures are my favorite - don,t be turned off by folks calling it "Devil rock" the end result is awesome!
