G'day everyone, This is a recent bacth that I finished. It's all wood or jasper. A piece of agatized wood Petrified wood with carnelian. It got a little bit beaten up but turned out okay anyway. I found this rock around a year agao. I wish I could find more of it. it's very cool. There you have it. Have a top day, Mike

Mike this is a glorious batch of wood and jasper. I've looked and looked and still cant pick a favorite. And they've all got a great shine.

Wow the pet wood with carnelian is nice but I think I like the jaspers even better. Fine polish on all of them!.....Mel

Mike, That is a fantastic batch of japsers and wood! I've never been able to succesfully tumble a batch of Woods. I guess I just don't have enough patience to keep rolling them until they're completely smooth. Your 1st picture shot shows just how good you did them. Steve

Beauties, mate. Wood is my favorite tumbler fodder.

Thanks for the comment folks.
Steve, I love tumbling pet wood. Like Susan, I think it's my favourite. I do cheat a bit though... Most of what I tumble has been cut down from bigger pieces so that already gives at least 1 or 2 smooth sides and as I go along if i find a piece that has some nasty bits or sharp edges that are taking too long, I introduce them to Mr. Bench Grinder. 10 seconds on the grinder can do what may take another 5 weeks in the tumbler and you can focus on just the bad bits.

Mike, those woods are fantastic! The colors are almost as beautiful as the ones on the woods you've sent me You're doing a very good job on those tumbled cabs. But don't get busy all the time with tumbling, look from time to time in the mailbox, the woods we shared might arrive! Adrian

Mike, Those are fantastic. Love the colors and the grains and the contrasts. The jaspers look like they have streaks of fire. Awesome. That pretty much covers it. This batch is awesome. How long did it take you, start to finish?

Matt, I can't really tell you a "start to finish" time as each rock is in course for as long as it takes. It is then taken out and replaced with some new rough.
After enough were finished in course it was 6 weeks. ..2 weeks in 220, 2 weeks in 600 and 2 weeks in polish. All of it was done in 3lb barrels.
That will all change now, however, since I got my lot-o vibe. the 6 weeks should be reduced to more like 10 days!!! WOOHOO!

Ooooh, again! I like the pair, and the round, and the sorta teardrop with 2 different color patches. Beautiful, as all of your stuff is!
Just noticed what's under your toad - cute! @(-_-)@

Titania, nearly everything I work is self-collected. All of these ones are self-collected. For me, finding the rocks is at least half the pleasure of doing the whole rock thing. I have spent a total of $35 on rocks since I started last year and $30 of that has been on Agate Creek agate nodules.
I have some rough rocks sent to me from Brian (Beefjello), Tony (Catmandewe) and Adrian that I am slowly including in what I am working on but I have found the rest.
