Tonight I cleaned out the slab bucket and got a few pics of some of the stuff. This is some greenish obsidian that I cut for Harley. This stuff is really hard to cut without breaking it. About half of the rock made it here, the other half went into the tumble bucket. It does have some pieces that have some cool banding in them. Some stuff I cut for fun, mostly burro creek stuff. The upper slabs came from a nodule I brought home from burro creek that weighed 24 lbs. Closeup of a slice off of the 24 pound nodule. These slabs are from a nodule that was only about an inch thick, I cut it length wise, only got 3 slabs off it, but they are gooders. This is from a little piece of Greenstone Jasper. The inside of this one got better the farther into it I got. Maybe I better go dig out the rest of these pieces (that are probably on the bottom of the pile now). I like cutting this stuff, it doesn't muck up my saw near as fast as the other stuff I have been cutting. Thanks for looking......................Tony

And there's nothing worse than a mucked up saw! Cool slabs Tony. Was that the obsidian I sent Harley?

Thanks everyone, but I didn't do the work, mother nature did. I have been cutting an excellent piece of Morrisonite today, some colors and patterns that I am not used to seeing in Morrisonite. Pics by next weekend maybe?
Ed, this is from a piece Harley got off of eBay, he just had it sent to my house, and then I am going to send it on to his house. The piece I cut was actually an extra piece the seller threw in, the piece Harley bought has not been cut yet. It needs the big saw and that saw is in need of some repair right now, it has shaft slipitis, non life threatening, but very irritating.

Oooo that just makes me wish for summer to hurry up so I can use my saw. You've got some pretty stuff there too, nice color and patterns.

WOW, I brought back some Burros nearly that big and have no way to cut into them! The smaller stuff, though, is really cool & I will do some photos soon. I have a very brief time window going on during which it is warm enough to use the saw.
