It was from the trip to Tucson, but I actually bought this rough at another rockshop in the area. (Picture wet.) Regular and Pink Botswanas. Montana, or Brazilian (not sure which kind) slabs Hematite. Some sort of nodules. Magnetic Hematite (bought at Electric Park). The whole shabang. Thanks for looking. Condor

Wowsers! Those slabs rock! And here at my house, we love the mag. hematite. I bought Matt 2 pieces awhile back, at the Ogallala pet wood museum. Kept him happy for many months, LOL. And you have the mother lode! What fun! Kids love them (kids of all ages) Great score. So the other hematite is not magnetic at all? Just wondering. K

Very cool Condor, what you going to do with the hematite you bought, tumbler or try to slice some up for cabbing? That is so totally different looking than the hematite I find up here but I'll bet it produces the exact same red mucky slurry mine does. It's amazing when it's polished though, I always try to toss a piece in every load.

Wow, I didn't know that's what hematite looked like before being shiney. Why did I think it was grey? LOL Sweet slabs and bots, wow! You ought to be able to feed those tumblers for a while.
