The colors in the first one are beyond imagination! The "wood-grain" and the "huge" mosses are also outstanding.

Ugh, man that is some nice stuff Mel, that first piece could pass as flame agate I bet. I don't think the moss we have here even compares to those beauties. Did you see the picture this thread? I found lots of pieces that look like poppy something, hmmm, wonder if I could tempt you to trade for part of the monster you dug up!
Keeping my fingers crossed! LOL.
Looks like you had a fun trip to the Mojave Desert, VERY cool rocks you found.

Beautiful finds. I just love getting out there and coming home with some treasures. The colours in all of those are intense.

Ohmygosh, there's more! Those bright mossy ones make me drool. Are those Cady Agates or do they have a different name? Steve

Steve: Yes, this collecting spot is a new one for me but the material is from the Cady Mountains. Not the Afton Canyon areas though....Mel

Wow that first one reminds me of an old bottle candle my brother had. All the different colors of wax dripping down the side, looked just like that. Very cool!!! You got some very beautiful stuff Mel.
