The Chrysocolla chunks are from "The Zakker Vein".
I sent the big pink-ish stone in hopes that you could ID it. I find some once in a while, and it makes pretty slabs, but I don't know what it is. It's hard stuff, and I'd thought it might be some milky quartz of some kind, but Idunno. LOL
The little "striped strawberry" and "stormy sunset" are from my front walkway. They always caught my eye among the other rocks, so I figured you'd put them to good use.

Yeah, it's from the vein Zak discovered last week. This is now the third vein that we've found up there. The vein I found last year (the second vein) didn't have material as nice as the first vein, but this third vein is sweet. From what I've seen so far, it looks like this vein is probably every bit as good as the first vein, and maybe even better. I only worked an area about 3 feet wide and about a foot and a half deep, and almost everything I mined from there was of very good lapidary quality. Judging by outward appearance, I'm pretty sure that most of the rest of the vein is even nicer than the area I dug up.
When we were climbing last week, Zak was way ahead of me, so he saw the vein first ... hence "The Zakker Vein" LOL. While I was working the little section, he explored to determine the size and quality of the rest of the vein. Man, it's gorgeous! Now if I could just figure-out a way to get it down the mountain easier. Anyone have a helicopter I could borrow for a day or two? Hehehe.

Wow, I really need to move out west. I wonder what you would have found of you dug like ten feet deep. The ones in the box sure do have alot of color, very cool stuff!!

Randy, I'm at about 10 feet in one part of the first vein. It's pretty much the same as 2 feet deep.
When you decide to take a trip out west, you're more than welcome to take a trip up the mountain with me.
