Howdy folks, Well, just finished four grueling days of our annual rock show. First two setting up and the following two the show itself and the breakdown. I was hobbling around on a pulled knee tendon but still had a pretty good time working the silent auction booth. I didn't get too much at the show but did bid on a few things that no one was showing any interest in. We had lots of nice whalebone we couldn't give away because Ventura County and Santa Barbara County are like agatized whalebone central so I got some for myself. I really like the black and white and have yet to cut a great cab of it so I figured I'd load up and try some more slabs to see if I can get a good one. Here are a few pics. Thanks for looking.....Mel Whalebone and a big hunk of Green Tree Agate no one would bid on. Honking big hunk of agatized bone, a bit browner than I like but nice pattern and well replaced: Some nice small hunks in the one to two pound range. Some of these are real gemmy indeed!

Hard to believe people didn't bid on those things. I have wanted some fossil bone for a long time but its so expensive around here that I haven't had the nerve to buy it.
