This is my first attempt at anything like this. These pieces are tumbled so the shape changes a little over the weeks (not that they fit that good to begin with). I want to get a vibe and do more of this. It was fun, challenging and Peyton loves Dolphins. Thanks for looking! john

Wow John! After the conversation we had, I had no idea it turned out this nice. I don't have a clue how you ran these through a rotary and kept them in the original shape! Nice work!

Wow! I just posted this a couple hours ago. ... john You shouldn't be surprised, John! Great work! I like the dolphin a lot, and the wood intarsia idea. I always thought on mixing pet wood with real wood somehow. That's a great idea. Adrian

That is great! My wife loves dolphins and rocks both, so what better combination. I've done plenty of intarsia with wood before, but my rock working skills have to develop quite a bit before I attempt something like this.

I had thought about trying my hand at adding some MOP inlay on the peg head on my banjo. I bet something done with rocks would really look great and different from the norm.

Very nice John. I've been meaning to do some stone/wood projects, but just haven't gotten around to it yet. You did an excellent job on this. Now go to the Stoneage Industries website and submit it for their shop friends contest.

Looks terrific! I could also see this as a good child's puzzle if the pieces were thicker. Granted, you have to keep the children from throwing the pieces at each other!
