Definately heavy on the WOW! factor. What do you use for final polish?

I used Titanium Oxide (Tumblers Tumbler brand) for the final polish. This is also the same re-cycled polish I've been useing for several loads now. It makes the rocks look good enough to eat!

Super polish again james! Great pics, they do look good enough to eat. I just put a batch of green India agate into pre polish. They have been running for 8 weeks already, tough stuff. I hope it turns out half as nice as that batch of yours. Talk to you later, Don

I'm sure they'll be twice as good as mine, from the looks of your other rocks. I have a load of that Obsidian in Tin Oxide, as you suggested. It's been going for a week and looks promising. I also just put my Spiderman jasper in polish this moring. Pretty stuff by the way. And I have 2 more loads that just went in the 80 grit. A load of green moss agate and a load of amazing looking Jasper. I can't explain it, You'll have to see it for youself when it's done.

Thanks again guys! Hermatite: I got the Texas Springs Limb Cast agate and the Northridge Plume agate form www.roughandtumble.com/roughlist/ These guys are great! If you get the Northridge Plume, make sure you buy the $18 a lb stuff. I got the lower $9 a lb stuff and most of it was too low of quality for tumbling. Really druzy stuff... I didn't get the agatized wood there but he has it.

It's a great place if you have the $$$. I'll tell you what, you get what you pay for. He has some great Carnelian available too. Don't get any Snake River agate though. It is some ugly stuff. If you like exotic rocks, this is the guy to talk to. Great rates on Tiger Eye too!

Those are some gorgeous rocks! I checked out their website and fell in love with the purple sage agate, are you familiar with this? Pat

Yeah, look at this baby! And this one too: $9.00 a lb. I hope it's as good as it looks. I can't wait to go on my rockhounding expedition this spring. Hopefully I'll find some stuff like this! ;D

Now ... my question is - how does this rough come - do you think it would be 'chunks' like the emerald rough (like small rocks) or are these slabs - the pics you displayed are slabs - correct? I cannot invest in any major lapidary equipment like saws or cabbing machines ( and god knows what else I would need). I'd love to have some to try my hand at setting them in silver. Pat

They come in large size chuncks of rough material. Size's depend on quantity.

That looks a lot like Stinkwater agate. I see some perfect specimens for cabochete' cutting. They would look great in a silver pendant.
