Alright! Love the action shots....and it looks like your hard digging was well worth it. Those are some beautiful slabs of wood too. Especially like the 1st one....really nice warm colors. Steve

Really like those wood slabs. The first couple and the ones that appear to have some green in them are my favorites. A lot of fun to be had with all those.

I guess, I am a slower learner than I used to be. I clicked on the wrong 'code' to display the pictures. But, I did fix it so everybody can click on the codes to see the pictures. Eventually, I will figure out this electronic stuff. Woody

The old saw has been busy since coming back from Saddle Mountain. I forgot to photograph the other bin full of the pet bog I slabbed up. I will post photographs of that material after I get back from central Oregon for more pet wood, and limb casts. I picked up a very nice forty pound piece of bog that I lugged up a forty five degree slope. I was glad I went for one of the smaller pieces because that thing kept gaining weight going up that slope. One of our club members carried a 133 pound piece of bog up that slope..he had to roll into his pack, roll over, and get two other guys to help him to his feet for that one. Woody

Maryann....I need to clean the muck out of the saw, after I finish the honey-do hardwood flooring, and then I will post photos of the bigger material we dug. I just started to slab a big one yesterday, and the saw started slinging mud. I had to do some trimming to get it in the twenty inch saw vise. If you get a chance to come to the PNW, Saddle Mountain is a must do site for pet wood. Then not so far away is Central Oregon, and that is rockhound heaven.

Nice! it's easy to see why that wood is often called Saddle Mountain Picture Wood. You've got some great scenes in a bunch of those cuts!.....mel

Patagonianstar: All the slabs are straight off the saw, no polish at all. I usually cut fairly thick, about five millimeters, and the slabs range from 50mm X 100 mm to 150mm X 250mm. I only have a 50cm saw, so the larger material has to be cut smaller for me by a friend to fit in my saw. The really big pet wood at Saddle Mountain has to left behind as we are not allowed to take anything over 114 kg.
