Hi everybody. Here is a chunk of Bruneau that I smoothed and polished it. It's good for a paper weight or just to display. Thanks for looking.

That's a beautiful paperweight! It looks like some of the sailboats I see when I go down to the beach on a nice day.

Wow, it's beautiful! But I don't get it: does it have two plan surfaces? in each pic it seems the only plan surfece is the one that the rock sits on. How big is it?

Beautiful! Adrian, my guess is that (due to the shape/orientation of the base cut) the piece is leaning far back away from us in the first pic, and way over towards us in the second pic. We'll see what fishenman has to say. <grin>
It makes me think of a sailboat, too!

Looks nice. Did you sand and polish on wheels, or was that in a big tumbler?

Thanks everybody. The first pic is a side shot and the second one is the other side looking down, not profile. I think that's what makes it so weird plus, its three sided. Huffstuff is correct. I will snap a few more shots to show it better and show the size.

Hey, I'd wear it with pride. It might make me stoop over a bit, but it's amazing, and I'd wear it, LOL.
You did an amazing job! It's beautiful, from both sides. And you accomplished it how, exactly? Thanks!

that is so beautiful and what a great idea. I might have to try doing that. How did you polish it?

Hi everyone. To make this piece, I followed the shape of the rough. It's triangular and the orbs are situated at the top. It's almost 2" tall and 1.25" at its widest. I worked it on my genie and finished it with tin oxide on suede . Here's two more shots. One from the back and one looking at both faces. Thanks. ;D
