Howdy folks! I finally got the chance this past Saturday to do something other than pound nails, as we decided to head up north to the Brown Springs area, have a picnic, play in the river and yes, look for rocks We had a great time and took a few pix that I wanted to share here. Along our way we notice a couple of deer grazing by the side of the road It was a warm day (90ish) and after our hike down we were ready for a dip! Here's Shasta and Jesse having some fun Some scenery from the area The cacti was in full bloom I wanted to take this rock home but alas, it was too big We were blessed with a bunch of rain this past winter so floods had moved a lot of rock around. I found some great stuff in areas I had hunted just last year. It was wonderful R&R.. much needed here. A splendid time was had by all. So here's what we found The floods had exposed a bunch of sweet plume agate Jasper, jasp-agate, moss and such Fortified agate, nodules and such And, even though I had several 'finds of the day', this one was Way up there. A beautiful chunk of purple agate Well Christa and I are heading off to the White Mountains this coming weekend, hopefully we'll find some nice Luna Blue out there. It's 109 outside my window right now. Supposed to be 58 for a high were we're headed on Friday. Ohhhh Yeahhh Hey, thanks for lookin'!

I always envy about half of your hauls. SOme of that is me and rocks, but a lot of it is the really nice color and pattern you find.

There certainly are some beautiful places in Arizona I was unaware of, and what great rock! We just did a trip to Central Oregon hoping the heavy rains this winter, and spring had moved some material, but the Crooked River looked like nothing had moved at all. After seeing this group of pictures, one really wants to do some exploring in Arizona.

Yet another tailgate shot to make me envious. lol Nice haul Brian, you always seem to find great stuff. Your rock pile must be bigger than my house by now. I like that red & white stuff (jasper-agate) and your fav.
