This weekend I got a little time to remodel the guest bedroom, I put in a work bench and some shelves to put slabs on. Something I have been putting off for a couple of months. The shelves sure will make finding a certain slab alot easier than digging through boxes of slabs. I got some of the slabs put away and got some of the equipment moved in. Some of it is pretty old and could use some TLC, but its better than nothing. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the flat rate boxes I have piled up in the carport. Now I have to go dig up some motors for these grinders.........Tony

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Rich, I guess that would depend on who the guests were!
Karen, I left enough room on the left side to just barely fit a queen bed, now I just have to decide if I want to put it back together or not. I do have a feeling if I put the bed back in, it will have flat raters sitting on it.
Have a great day everyone...............Tony

Very cool room! Put up the bed, pile FRBs on just half of it - there will still be room for someone!

Where is the saw going?? What are you going to do about water and power for the grinders? I am at the similar stage on my rock room and have to make choices....guests/rocks...guests/rocks...hmmmm...do they make sheets for slabs? Larry

KD, room charge is dependent on suitcase size.
Larry, the saw stays outside in the carport. There is a little trim saw on one of the grinders and I have a gryphon bandsaw in the room (available for a very reasonable price from John at JSgems), so any trim work can be done in there, but slabs get cut outside. I am going to rewire the whole room and put in a bunch of outlets behind the machinery. The water system I am still toying with either a drip system or a bubbler system, or maybe a combination of both.
Looks like I will get my first rock guest this Saturday. I even put a bed in there today, hope they can make it.

I think I like that better then a guest room. You are going to have a lot of fun in there.
