I have this vibe lap and we are cleaning it up some. It's the exact same set up as this one gemstoneworld.com/hardware/flatlap1.htm go down about half way where it says vibro laps in 2 sizes and the picture right above. It's that style. When we turn it on, it wants to vibrate all over the floor (we have it on the deck right now). Is this normal? I haven't read where they are mounted to anything. Sandy

Does it have the rubber bumpers on the legs? If it has metal to the ground it will move. I have a 24in and had to put it on a concrete pad like you set ac units on. It walked when I had it on wood floor. Keith

Thanks! Ed did something with the counter weight on the bottom of it and its not walking now. Its vibrating good, but not walking all over. Thanks for the input though, this way he knows the weight may have to be moved back to where it was. He's working on leveling it now. It's a 20 inch. Now I'm trying to read on how much grit to start with and water. I've read where you don't want it to splash, but haven't read much else yet.

This is the 27" . the ply-wood base is best on this unit as it well walk out the door. As for the rubber pad`s on the adjustable feet. they are a standard adjustable foot. Maytag washer have the same size of rubber pad. on older models. As for the Wt. i run both of mine with the Wt. in all the way. As for grit to use on Lap-plate only use 220-grit and very little water, I use a IV- drip on mine and a drop of water every few Sec. is best as for the amount of grit with out rock on plate i use a 1/2 cup of 220 grit and a spray bottle of water and a 1/2 qz. of vinegar to wet the water / soap tends to foam to much's. Face sand all material to 100 fine or finer, turn unit on and place one rock on spray with water tell you have a lite pastie - dry paste. Most important that you do not run plate less then 3/4 full to keep from dishing the $550.00 - 600.00 plate now to replace on the 27" unit. I do a full load on mine. Bumper rings i make out of flat hose, and a srip of copper down the hose cut a side of hose off on both side and ribbit the to ends to gather, you`l end up having a lot of different size`s for material. Bulk lead blocks for counter Wts. and Forest clay glue them to slabs and use rubber rings as needed. the lead block seal them with paint or varnish . Jack
