The seller says that he bought it from someone who never used it, and that he himself used it a few times, but then it started to bind up on him. He says he never got around to figuring out how to align the feed or saw or whatever needed aligning, and now he doesn't need it anymore and is willing to sell it for $200.
Anybody know if this is something straightforward that I could do myself with ordinary tools, or is it something that requires special calibrating equipment and best left to a rockshop or the like? Has anyone else had a Lortone slab saw bind up on them, or aligned one themselves, or...?
Any comments or suggestions most appreciated. Thank you!

If everything seems to be running smoothly without cutting, it would definitely be worth the gamble. The saw sells new for over $1000. I am sure someone here could provider advice on the binding problem. Any binding problem I've had was related to the blade.

my ten inch lortone did the same thing i re lined it by eye and it worked fine but if ya wanna do it right theres how to's on the net for aligning the table you don't need special tools or anything just acouple small wrenches -- and another reason it will bind is a dished blade so that could be the prob too--- but thats a great price if its in fair shape

All of that is certainly encouraging, you guys! I'll be going over there in a few days, and I'll let you all know what happens. Thanks again.
