This is from a matching stone with the one used in the pendant I showed before. I wanted to make a matching bracelet with it. Took me pretty much the whole day, and I'm not 100% pleased with it. I think I will replace the clasp with something better and stronger. But as a prototype I like it. I didn't have square wire, which is usually used in these types of bracelets, so I wrapped it with another technique wire weavers use with round wire. It seems to work quite ok. Marika

A very beautiful bracelet. If this is your prototype, I'm looking forward to pics of others when you finalize the design.

This is really pretty! I can't tell how you did the zig-zag pattern on the band from the pics....any chance of getting a close-up on the band? I really like this - your wire work looks fabulous.

That turned out nice. As for the clasp the only thing I think would be stronger would be a store bought clasp. Tami

Pretty awesome for a prototype. I think the clasp works very well. The only thing stronger would be a heavier gauge wire or a commercial clasp. I think it is just right!

Thanks on your kind comments! I also agree, I might probably redo the clasp with a heavier gauge wire, see how that works out. Regarding the zig-zag pattern, here is a bit enlarged, hope you can see it. Basically you weave two wires twice, then go with the thin wire between the two, take the top one plus the next, wrap around them twice, then come back between these two, then you take the top one and the next and go twice around them, etc, et... Does it make sense? Hm, in the picture the zig-zag doesn't look quite uniform, but on the actual piece it looks ok...

That was my guess - that even though it didn't look quite uniform in the photo, that it really was - because the rest of it is soooo uniform. I LOVE this technique, Marika. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it from your directions. It almost looks like music bars. I wouldn't change a thing. You do lovely work. Thanks for the further clarification.

kislany, do you have a ball peen hammer and a metal plate? you can easily strengthen the hook and eye if you tap the wire. I do this all the time with the clasps I make. Also, 2 or 3 wraps with half round at the base of the eye hook where the two wires separate will give it more stability. You can do it with the hook that is already on the bracelet.
Thanks for the instruction on how to weave this.

Oh thanks for the tip, I'll see what I can do with the piece now!
