Can anyone comment on this saw? I have a WF that I love but sometimes cutting square corners on crosses or making hearts can be a real challenge. I thought maybe this would be a relatively inexpensive way to solve that problem.
Thanx in advance

I have one that I haven't used yet. I talked to a couple people who tried one on Braz agate for flint knapping...they said it really isn't very good for rock...the blade is too thin (front to back) and breaks easily. I either have mine for sale or I'm waiting for a soft rock that would fall apart on the WF...haven't made up my mind which yet. Apparently it is great for glass work.
Do a google search on Inland DB-100 Bandsaw you will find that the people selling them say they're great...the people using them have some reservations.

If you are looking buy a Gryphon band saw I bought one from John at JS Gems and love it. I cut agate and wood a lot and it does great. Give John a call and check it out. Keith

This is not an advertisement. I sell both Inland and Gryphon and there is no comparison. When I had a DB100 demo model I let people cut Howlite until I could tell they were carefull and then let them cut something harder. With my Gryphon demo saw I have 3/8" Brazilian agate and 1/4" agate slabs for them to play with. I don't take any howlite anymore nor do I have the DB100 demo unit. Both saws are made for glass but the Gryphon (1/3hp motor) will truely handle hard rock.

Thanx for the input John and others. I no longer have the Inland on my wish list. You should be hearing from me within a couple weeks!
