I stumbled upon this site www.metalworkers.organd it blew my mind. It certainly makes MY stuff look amateurish and clumsy. Especially anything made by WileysColdFusion. Unbelievable. Turq

Sorry, I couldn't figure out the link button. I fail miserably at the keyboard. Hanging head in shame.

You just have the link backwards. The slash thingy goes in the end bracket instead of the beginning bracket. Or if you start the link with http://, it automagically becomes a link. www.metalworkers.org/And yes, it blows my mind!

Thank you, Akansan - I knew someone would come along and actually make the thing WORK. The last time I needed to make a link, I got my 13 year-old son to help me. He didn't even need to use the tools on the message screen. Sorry, Tweet, for not adequately warning you on the drool factor - I was just so dumbfounded my these people's work that I couldn't wait to show you. Looking at their stuff I can't even figure out where they even STARTED. Their message board is odd, a lot of flaming and bad English. Nothing like here. One thing I noticed - these pieces seem to be a hot, desirable product for guys as well as girls. They are just really big bling, shown hanging off of back pockets of jeans, etc. My husband noticed that a lot of them look very "sci-fi". I can't stop looking through them. They are great for inspiration!

Wow, thanks for sharing Turq! They remind me of Eni's work...on steroids!! Tempting to play with that using copper or craft wire...Considering the price of materials, it seems pretty reasonable to me, with that amount of labor. Crikey.

I'm a little more partial to the stuff that Turq mentionned - WileysColdFusion - a little less "nattywrap" & much more bling - Those people must have heavy wallets cuz just the amount of gold & silver wire in there is astounding! I wish they'd show the backs on some of them....

Tuyrq...........thank you for sharing this link!!!! Years ago, I did some castings similar to these wire wraps using wax wire, but NOT even close to as nice as these are. My wife is really going to be inspired by this site. Me, I am nearly at a loss to express how great these wraps are! Woody

I love this site its amazing the amount of silver they use, and the talent of each artist, but I too would love to see the backs..

Tweet and raqy - I found that if you go to say, WileysColdFusion's gallery, and click on each piece individually, many of the backs are shown. They are as wild and unique as the fronts, some with even more "do-dads" stuck on there. Here I have small zip-lock bags with my few kinds of "decent" wire - these guys must have big SPOOLS of gold and silver wire laying around!

The jewelry is pretty, but way too big and I imagine heavy for my taste. Tami

Yeah - a lot of it's too heavy for my taste as well. But WileysColdFusion has some terrific "light" pieces. It's the same style, but lighter. Actually, Wileys reminds me of the pieces Raqy just posted - a fusion of torch and wire.

Two good starting places are Eni Oken's tutorials, specially the rainbow wrapping ring, and Remy's tutorial (aka dkheath), which I really strongly recommend. That one is awesome. Those should keep you going for a while until you develop your own style...
