So sorry for your losses, Tony. That's unbelievable. Glad no one was hurt physically, but I can't imagine your emotions right now. If you need anything, let us know. Take care.

This is terrible!! I was not expecting to see such incredible damage after reading the post. That had to be one HOT fire to do that much damage. I am so sorry to hear that you have suffered such a great loss. I hope you get past this quickly, but I am sure it will be tough.

Sorry to see your loss Tony, that really bites. I can't believe the carelessness of people. I see it here everyday too with people throwing cigarettes off the side of the road. With dry hot air and winds, a fire can spread in no time. Looking at the photo of your 30 inch saw was really sad, maybe it can be sandblasted and refurbished? Thank god no one was hurt, if I lived nearby I would help clean up. Thank god no one was hurt too. Hope you get things back to normal soon.

Tony, that is a heartbreaking story. I am so sorry to hear of that terrible loss. We also have a problem with that here in AZ. I see idiots throw their lit cigarette butts out the window all the time & I call & report them to a hotline we have here. Whenever you're ready to start rebuilding your shop & equipment, please let me know & I'll send you a nice box of rocks to help you get started again. Patti

Wishing you luck Tony. May the adjuster have a passion for rocks, may his writing be swift and generous.

Tony, when I first saw the post "my big saw is HOT" I was expecting to see you admiring with pride your "new saw". But when I saw the pictures I knew what you meant. I am a new member but I have been reading these boards for several years now, & feel that I know you through your posts as a big hearted person, kind & funloving. I wish you luck tomorrow. I don't know if your home was burnt also, I hope not. Also glad that no one was hurt. I second the previous post by sitnwrap. Best to you Tony, Don

Hey Thanks Everyone. Its Lookin Good!!! Probably will get both saws replaced, (somewhere under that pile of metal is an 18" saw). May even get the shop replaced, but it is still too early to know for sure. And I even have about 15-20 tons of scrap iron to haul off to the recycling place, (maybe a brand new cabbing machine from the scrap metal?)
I will keep you posted..............Tony

Tony that sounds promissing. I hope everything works out my friend. I know it takes a lot of self-control to take unexpected stuff like this, but you are right...maybe it is time have those saws replaced...Who know the 30" beast may turn into a 36" incher.
Wishing the best...and my offer still stands...I'm available to come up and help with the clean up.

It is heartbreaking to lose so much, BUT it could have been worse! At least it sounds as if your adjuster does not have too bad a cranial-anal inversion. Make sure to get replacement value on those Morrosonite pebbles! I have a few chunks that cost dearly on this side of the country!Best wishes on a fair settlement and being able to find the material to replace what was lost.

How awful, Tony! I'm glad the adjuster seems to be taking your losses seriously. I hope everything works out even better than we can hope!

Tony, that's just so terrible! When I first started reading I was afraid you might not be insured -- what a relief to hear about the adjuster. I'm so sad about it all, and thinking about all those beautiful BIG rocks that you pick up and how generous you are about giving them away. Now we must definitely have a Challis trip and we can all work on replenishing your rock pile!

Sure hope it all works out good for you Tony.
