I gave in and took a chunk off that big ole boulder i brought back home from the upper peninsula... every slice I took out of it revealed more and more color. A little cube I made out of an odd chunk Other side of the same cube I took this tiny little chunk off the bottom left side of the rock, can't even really tell where I broke it unless you saw the rock before. These are some of my favorite slabs but I was slabbing at that thing for hours today.

Well, that sure has turned out to be a pretty rock. Is that type of agate common in your area? Most of the agates that I've seen that's come from the Michigan area are usually the banded Lake Superior agates, & this looks different to me. Either way, it's always too much fun to cut rocks & see the great surprise inside!

I'd never seen anything like this before, I just liked the colors and saw some fortification so I knew that it would have something fun inside. I actually found it on a beach and carried it all the way up two flights of stairs to my car. Man was it heavy, but worth it!
