It's been a while since I've posted any new wraps, so I thought I'd share my 5 newest ones. 2 of these are commissions, the other three were demonstration pieces during my latest wrapping class. Okay, one was a for fun piece, and the other two were demonstration pieces. Commissions first: RSJ - this was a heel that I ground for this cab. It created a different pattern in the RSJ, but it was more interesting than the other side of the heel (it was one of those thin rind ones with large amounts of cream inside). Next is a green moss thing - this is one of my first double sided cabs, and my first double sided wrap. It presented quite the challenge - I had also left the wire at top a bit shorter than I normally do (okay, a lot shorter), so it was a double challenge. I had to redo the top about four times. Side 1: Side 2: Okay, now my example wraps for my class: Polish Flint - I loved this cab...until it heat fractured on the face during the 50k polish. But it worked as an example piece. Stephanite - the second class of the day's example piece: And my play between classes - a bit of moss from a slab from Stoner:

That last moss wrap is especially nice, Ronda.

Yes, the moss in the last pic is my favorite, too. All of them are beautiful, the wires flow so ellegant in your wraps and cover just a little bit of the cabs, letting them visible. Great job!

Very pretty work...too bad about the flint...have you ever tried to replace the stone or is it too difficult??

Gosh, I always enjoy your wraps so! You make the wire just melt into graceful loops! Love the last one too, and the Polish Flint is a fav.

Thanks guys - the last moss is my favorite of the group as well. I admit, I accidentally included the cab in my teaching cabs container and had to grab it out at the last minute. I really, really didn't want a student grabbing that one.
Gemni - I actually wrapped the Polish Flint after it had been fractured. I still like the cab, just wish the two heat fractures weren't there. This way, I know I might actually get to keep one of my wraps!

those wraps are pure elagance. Your wire working is flawless. The moss reminds me of an 1800's parfume bottle.

Saw these beauties someplace else and just sat and enjoyed the picture show! Then I came over here and realized I could enjoy the excitement all over again!!!
The commissioned pieces are so lovely. Just the perfect balance of wire to cab with elegant swirls and curves!
The demonstration pieces had to have WOWWED the students who then had excellence to strive for!
ANd the last piece...Remember in the first Shrek movie how Donkey kept leaping in the air and begging: "Pick Me! Oh, Pick Me!" Well if your pendants could suddenly become animated, your last one wouldn't even get the words out of its mouth before it was grabbed up! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PIECE!!!!!!
So...when are you going to post some more beauties for us to salivate over?!?!?!?! ;D
