I got this chunk from Rich a few months back, he mines this on one of his claims.

So where is the rhodonite there? I just spent 9 days in South Fork and had no idea. I've collected similar above Silverton, CO This is coming from Southfork Mining, i. e. fellow RTH'er Rich (whose last name eludes my memory) -it isn't from Colorado, but rather up out of Happy Camp on the Klamath River just this side of the Oregon border. On my last visit, he said he might be talked into taking guests to the claim, but they'll need to be prepared for a full day climbing through really rough terrain, and then having to haul some HEAVY rocks back. It is really nice material takes an awesome polish, you might PM him if you want to work out a deal.

That "splains" it then. The Silverton material is pretty pale. Thanks.
