I've had this big chunk of rainbow obsidian sitting around for a while and I decided to try to split it. I hit it with a hammer and chisel on a deep crack. Before After I broke off some big flakes. Here's another boulder I'm going to leave in one piece Another angle

oh, for a 24" saw.....nice chunks....would make great slabs for knives and spear points...

Oh, my freaking goshaglory! That's amazing! And the kids are, too. I don't think your little gal is going to let anyone take that boulder! So, are those shards really sharp? What are you going to do with them? Thanks for the pix! K
