Been doing this for over 11 yrs. Great people, great times, great food and great fun! Me flying. The Famous Hodges Hobbies 20' wingspan B-29 Bomber Float flying Pic from above Hodges Hobbies, in the Hodges Piper Cub Me (red shorts) with just a few of my flying buddies watching a demo. Aint that B-29 big!!!! 98 pounds! Like I said this has been my addiction for the past 10 yrs or so. Thrown a lot of $$ away doing it! Maybe it's time for a change.

Wow, thanks for the pics. Those are some serious hobbiests, flying some wonderful scale aircraft. Yes it's an expensive hobby, so many are. Welcome to the board.

Thanks Geoff! That bomber is known all over the world. If you want to see some video of it in action go to www.hodgeshobbies.com or just search you tube for "hodges hobbies B-29". It's not that expensive to fly RC if you don't crash a lot! But there is always something new coming out you "just have to have"! LOL

Ah man, that is something I have wanted to do as far as I can remember. There a couple of clubs in town and I've gone once, but the expense of it drives me (or should I say flies) me away. That is such a cool hobby. Sometimes I even want to buy one of those cheapo remote control planes, but I know they're junk.

Actually there are now some electric models that are great flyers! For $150 or so you can get a complete setup: plane, battery, charger, and controller. We have had a lot of people lately learning to fly on the Super Cub by Hobby Zone. Here's a link if you're interested . www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=HBZ7100I can't wait to sell off a few of mine and start polishing all this stuff me and my boy got at the Hogg Mine a while back!

There are videos of it in action all over you tube! Mac does not fly it like a bomber, he does aerobatics with it! Just search Hodges Hobbies B-29. Really worth watching!

My kids gave me a small plane for Christmas a few years back. Never did learn to fly the darn thing. I spent half an afternoon getting it out of a tree and never flew it again. Curt
