I saw this come up on craigslist today...what do you guys think? I've been talking about getting another arbor to do some specialty stuff on.

As long as it can be fixed at a reasonable cost, absolutely. If it works it would go for 3x or more on ebay.

If the bearings are good it is a good price. If the motor is there it is even better Those Lortone combination units are very popular and plentiful.

Thanks for posting those up. The last one seems a great deal. I've already got a 6-wheel Lortone machine, but I've been kicking around the idea of getting another smaller arbor to run some specialty stuff on. I hate taking my machine apart to change a wheel. I may just hang tight and keep my eyes open for an 8" arbor. Mine's a 6", and there are times when some extra space would be nice. I wrote to the owner of the machine, and it has no motor. So, no way to really test it out to see what kind of shape the bearings are in.

Tatiana, I was browsing craigslist and came across these grinding wheels. I thought this might be something you'd be interested in. I don't know much about grinding wheels but the price seemed cheap and I know your in my neck of the woods. If I'm way off in assuming or the wheels are all wrong for lap work, my apologies ;D Here's the link. boston.craigslist.org/nos/tls/793065876.html
