Could be carnelian from Western Washington........some of our carnelian is so like Brazilian that it would take a chemist to say which it was. Woody

those 2 24" saws ralph is still cleaning out. Oh boy were they a messs. I think the guy we bought them from didn't clean the oil in, like forever. we just had to order the tool to take the blade off. slow but sure progress.

Hey woodyrock, Im just curious about your carnelian comment. Im from NW Oregon. Carnelian by description is just a basic agate that is distinguished from other varieties by its reddish tones.....or yellow or orange. Just like amethyst is a type of quartz.....but a different color than other varieties. If what you are finding in Washington is white like the Brazilian above, then wouldnt what you are finding be just another variety of agate and not technically carnelian? Just curious Shannon

Part two,
East of Aberdeen Washington Mile Marker ( 12 ) Large turn in Chehalis River, Some very nice real Carnelian agate to be found. Reds Med. Dark Blackest Red to be found
And at Castle rock 3rd canyon to the east in large creek bed. this is the best you`l hear ! to one of my SITE`S..............
And the Enhydro bed material look`s like small Brazilian Gas Pockets only ...............
Then their is the Oregon Whytcomb creek Agate Beds those Gas pockets are a dead ringer for the Brazilian, ( Only the shape Though )
