Time to clean out the ole slab bucket. Slabs off of a piece of Blue Flame Agate that Harley sent to me, this stuff comes from Wyoming. closeups Some Bruneau closeup Rocky Butte closeup I am guessing this to be a flint nodule, it came from an estate that I am in the process of moving from Utah to Idaho. cut against the grain cut with the grain Some Burro Creek closeup Bennett Mountain Agate closeups A friend of mine (who is not a rockhound, at least he won't admit it yet!) was on his way home from Northern California and saw this obsidian in a road cut. He stopped and picked up a few pieces and brought them over. it looks really cool backlit, but I didn't get a picture of it backlit. Anyways, here is a closeup. Well thats all for now folks, tune in later for the next bucket. Thanks for lookin.......................Tony

Glad to see the Slab Bucket is filling up again...that's great news for us! I love that Bruneau and Rocky Butte. Never heard of the Blue Flame Agate...but it looks awesome. Lots of slabs to keep you busy with cabs! Steve

Nice looking stuff. Family and I are going to WY in mid-to-late september. Any idea if the blue flame is publicly collectible?

Dean. The Blue Flame has pretty much been had. I bought mine from a man by the name of :
Mike Wagner in South Dakota. 1-605-833-2003
What he has is is mostly collector type pieces I believe about a ton he told me. He picked it up before the local rock club got all of it and was planning to sell it on E-Bay this fall but if you contacted him I am sure he would part with a piece.

Those are some wonderful slabs! I have a question though. What are you doing with the square cubes that you cut of the burro creak? Is there something special you make? Fran
